How to test your internet speed

Have you ever wondered how fast your internet connection is. Does it even come close to what your ISP advertises.
There are several websites which help you test your speed. But my favorite is the Speed Test from speakeasy.net
You have to choose a server which is near your geographical location and immediately the tool calculates not only your download speed but also your upload rate.
